Nursing – A Career For The Future

Nursing – A Career For The Future

“You’re hired. When can you start? Can you work part-time or full-time? Is this what you would like to hear from prospective employers? Well, nursing might be the perfect career choice for you. Before you rush into your counselor’s office and change your major, let me take you on a brief tour of nursing. According to Advance for Nurses Magazine, as the demand for nurses continue to remain high, nurses can expect higher salaries—especially those with specialty skills. Nurses are creative individuals who take pride in their work. The culture of nursing is unique, flexible, and the field is diverse. Nurses work in doctors’ offices, hospitals, schools, insurance companies, home health care agencies, and in other areas. Their positions range from doing bedside care, teaching, and case management, to home health and administration. Advanced education and experience can expand career choices. There are two licensed nurse career options –licensed vocational nurse (LVN) and registered nurse (RN).

So, does this sound good? Do you think you have the patience, compassion, and determination for nursing? If so, do your research (click on the link below), talk to counselors, attend health care fairs and career days, and ask questions. Still curious, and have specific questions about planning for a nursing career? Email me and I’ll try my best to answer your question.

Peace and Blessings,
